Restaurant Kamúy 1485 Rue Jeanne-Mance, Montréal, QC H2X 1Z9 (514) 447-7481

Named after the Taino (Caribbean First Nations people) word for sun, Kamúy is much more than a restaurant - for its executive chef and his team, it’s an opportunity to bring together and celebrate a rich and diverse community through food, music, culture, and art. Hailing from many different regions of the islands (and beyond), Chef Paul and his team aim to bring something new to Montreal’s culinary tapestry that combines the flavor, spice, and colorful creations of Caribbean food.

Olive et Gourmando 351 Rue Saint-Paul O, Montréal, QC H2Y 2A7 (514) 350-1083

This is a bakery, a cafe, a restaurant featuring daytime fare that’s as inventive as it is generous. Dyan Solomon and Eric Girad opened its door in June of 1998. They met while working at Toque. She was a pastry chef and he was a baker. At the time, Eric convinced Dyan that they should to take the plunge and open their own place.
